    The Sumac plant, whose proper name is Rhus Coriaria, is native of Middle East and it produces burgundy red berries that are sun-dried and used as a spice in every Arab country.


    Sumac has a fresh, fruity and citrusy flavor that makes it the perfect alternative to lemon juice for seasoning grilled fish, meat or salads. You can also add it to sauces, it pairs particularly well with yoghurt preparations.
