Origin & History
Paella is a traditional Spanish dish originating from the countryside around the city of Valencia. It is made of rice, chicken, rabbit and mixed vegetables seasoned with tomato sauce, saffron, garlic and a blend of spices. It was once the traditional lunch of local farmers, who cooked readily available ingredients in the characteristic large and flat pan that is still used to prepare authentic Paella.
