Toasted Cumin Powder is probably the most frequently-used spice in any Indian kitchen, due to its intense smoky flavour and garlicky fragrance. Use it as a base for any spice mix, marinade or gravy.
Curry Powder is made from a mixture of finely-ground spices and herbs such as curry leaves, cumin, black pepper, chili, coriander and fenugreek, however the recipe varies from region to region. The blend gives a rich, earthy flavour to yoghurt or cream-based sauces, as well elevating delicate ingredients like chicken, lentils and fish.
Garam Massala is another traditional spice mix used in both savoury and sweet dishes in India. Comprised of coriander, cumin, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves, the resulting flavour is both sweet and a little peppery. Add this to finish off a dish or to season steamed vegetables.
Also included is the special Z&Z Tandoori Blend bringing together all the wonderful tastes of India to create a spicy, fruity and smoky powder perfect for dry rubs, marinades and sauces.
